This place is underrated on here! Maybe we just ordered well, but the service was kind and made us feel relaxed. The kofta dish was soooo tasty. Had a creamy, flavorful sauce and was surprisingly filling. The cauliflower was also a must.

I recently had my first authentic Indian cuisine experience with a twist at Rasai. After a hectic day, I was too tired to cook, so I decided to order take-out. I went for the togo mutton biryani, paneer tikka masala (with a side of basmati), and flaky paratha. This was enough to feed a party of two...plus leftovers for the next day. The mutton biryani was most memorable for me. Having never tried mutton before due to my picky palate, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious spices and the tender, fall off the bone meat. I did have to navigate some small broken bones mixed in the rice though. One of these days, I'll have to stop by for the dine-in experience!

One of the better garlic naans we have had in Seattle and traveled really well with take out! The palak paneer was good as was my partner's chicken tikka masala. Everything was packaged securely. The only drawback was we got very little rice comparatively. We would order from here again based on the naan!

An amazing elevated Indian meal! I've been meaning to try this spot out in Fremont for a while, and I wasn't disappointed. The real star of the show was the zero-proof elixir flight! For $15/person, you can try five uniquely spiced and flavored Indian drinks. I was particularly intrigued by the pickled mango cordial! All of them were delicious and stood out as flavors I've not tried before in drinks traditionally. The appetizers were also delicious. I enjoyed the pani puri flights: the potatoes were perfectly spiced, the puris were crispy and perfectly round, and the pani was tasty, with pomegranate and mint as well (two flavors)! The fried cauliflower was super crispy and yummy, but a little bit acidic. The main courses were a bit disappointing and overpriced. I found the sauces to be almost reminiscent of canned soup, too sweet and not plated to be hot. The bread sampler was interesting, but nothing particularly stood out. The dessert was an interesting take on tiramisu, focusing on pistachio. Maybe the meat main dishes were tastier, but if I were to come back, I'd try a lot more small plates and appetizers! I'm giving it four stars for fancy ambiance, stylish plating, and the unique elixirs, but I was really unimpressed with the main curries.

We started with two appetizers, the "Ghar Ki Murgi" (5/5 stars amazing for $18, a Chicken Kebab - Cashew Cream Cheese, Thai Chili, Pickled Red Onions) which was blow-your-mind delicious. Our second appetizer was the "Burani Paneer" (4/5 stars, $16, Brown Garlic & Degi Chili Marination, Cilantro Mint Chutney, Watermelon Radish). I was honestly not impressed by the pier at all, I would give it 3/5 stars, but the flavors and dressing were beautiful and delicious so I would give the rest of the plate a 5/5 star rating. We did two mains. First, the Nalli Rogan Josh" (4/5 stars, $29, Braised Lamb Shank, Tomato & Kashmiri Chili Curry, Potato Salli). We thought the lamb was impressive (5/5 stars), juicy, tender, and flavorful. We liked the curry that it was in, but we felt like it lacked a certain dimension or some kind of depth. Second, we ordered the "Heirloom Korma" (5/5 stars blow your mind, $23, Micro Rainbow Vegetables, Enoki Mushroom Pakora, Saffron, Almond). I cannot recommend this dish enough! The flavors of the curry were rich and nutty, the veggies were tender, but not too tender, and it paired well with our bread sampler (4/5 stars, $12). My husband loved the "everything seasoning kulcha" (3/5 stars imo but 4/5 stars according to him) but I preferred the "spinach and cheese naan" (4.5/5 stars) and I liked the "Herb Lacha Paratha" (4.5/5 stars) too. Overall, we spent $105 before the mandatory 20% "included gratuity", of which 3/4 goes to the weight staff and the other 1/4 goes to the restaurant. Two mains, two sides, and the bread sampler was too much food for the two of us. I think two mains and the bread sampler would not have been enough, so when we go back (and we will, we were really impressed with this restaurant!) we plan on doing two, the bread sampler, and one side. Overall, this restaurant has a low rating because of the 20% mandatory gratuity and slow service, but we were impressed with the restaurant and even though the prices are high, I honestly feel like the quality was much better than the other good Indian restaurants I have been to in Seattle (like Nirmal's and Meesha - both are phenomenal, but neither were quite as mind blowing-ly impressive).

My fiance and I went on a Thursday night, and it was hands down some of the most vibrant flavors we've had. Every meat that came out was also incredibly tender. The ribs had to be our favorite, also because we've never had ribs with such a wonderful flavor profile. We also tried a few of their seasonal Winter cocktails, and they were showstoppers in their unique presentation. It wasn't a super busy night, but it was nice, romantic, and cozy. 10/10 would recommend; we can't wait for our next visit.
